If my car broke down on a major expressway—
it’s still a good day.
If I forgot my taxes till the first of May—
it’s still a good day.
If I got up late and didn’t stop to pray—
it’s still a good day.
If my house and life are in complete disarray—
it’s still a good day.
If I got stuck working on a holiday—
it’s still a good day.
If I sinned a million times today—
it’s still a good day.
For at least I have a car that can break down
And money from where my taxes are found;
A bed on which I can sleep late
And a house that I can decimate;
A job that calls me to keep up the pace—
And salvation based solely on grace.
For each day of your life is a good day you see
‘Cause its made just as God thought it should be.
